Where ya' goin boa'
What I dont understand is why Candide loves her so much. Cunegonde is obviously ugly so how could he feel the same way about her when love has to do with how they are on the inside is equal to whats on the outside. That is something there, that i give you pile of chumps, to think about and to correlate with your experiences.

Chp 11-15
The old woman tells her story. It turns out that she is the daughter of Pope Urban X and the princess of Palestrina. She was raised in the midst of incredible wealth. At fourteen, already a stunning beauty, she was engaged to the prince of Massa Carrara. The two of them loved each another passionately. However, during the lavish wedding celebration, the prince’s mistress killed the prince with a poisoned drink
The plague swept through Algiers, killing the prince and the eunuch. The old woman was subsequently sold several times and ended up in the hands of a Muslim military commander. He took his seraglio with him when ordered to defend the city of Azov against the Russians. The Russians leveled the city, and only the commander’s fort was left standing. Desperate for food, the officers killed and ate two eunuchs.
The old woman’s story also functions as a criticism of religious hypocrisy. She is the daughter of the Pope, the most prominent member of the Catholic Church. The Pope has not only violated his vow of celibacy, but has also proven unable and unwilling to protect his daughter from the misfortunes that befell her.

Discussion Question #Three
Candide and Cacambo decide to leave Eldorado because it is "false" to put it into the simplest of terms. Eldorado is simply a metaphor for what they want but will never reach, partly because it may not even exist. For various decades and centuries, Eldorado has been synonymous with a type of "Holy Grail". We all search for it, but only the select few ever grasp hands with Destiny.
The reason I say Eldorado is false is because I see it as a "false Garden of Eden" symbolization. Voltaire tries to get it through our heads that hard work and dedication are the only way in this life. That is the reason for all the gardens throughout the book.
Voltaire believed in blue collar work and in a bucolic type atmosphere.

Candide Post #2
Voltaire is suggesting what many
people think love isn’t. Beauty and character does matter when it comes to
romantic love according to Voltaire. Once love has taken place, there is no way
of getting out of it. For as much as ugly a person may get, you may be very disappointed
but love will still exist there. The love may change and you may lose that
spark that once united one with another, but feelings will still be there no
matter what. Attraction will be the only changing factor.
Discussion Question #Five
Voltaire suggests that love is not so much about being "in love", but rather being "in likes". You catch my drift? What I took from the Candy- Cune love story was that Candy Boy never truly loved Cune. Hear me out alright. So, Candy was all head over heels for this chick when she was a Marlin, right? Right. So he went on this magnificent escapade in search of his beloved Marlin because he was amorous of her since the start. But, when he finds his so called "love", -BAM!- she is in fact simply a Snapper, and that's being generous. The way she is described in the book she seems more of a Mullet, you know. Anyways, he then realizes, "Man, this is the girl I've spent so long searching for? You have to be kidding me right? Hey Ashton, you can come out now, I know I'm being Punked. Jaja. Wait, I'm not on Punked? This is serious? This is Cune? How'd she go from Marlin Status to this.. this Mullet!? Holy!" So, basically, Voltaire tries to show that the majority of us will never be "in love", but forever simply "in likes". Sad stuff.

On lap 7, the second lap at racing speed, Senna's car left the racing line at the 190 mph Tamburello corner, ran in a straight line off the track and struck an unprotected concrete barrier. Telemetry shows he left the track at 310 km/h (190 mph) and was able to slow the car down by braking to 218 km/h (135 mph) in slightly under 2 seconds before hitting the wall. The car hit the wall at a shallow angle, tearing off the right front wheel and nose cone, and spun to a halt. After Senna's car came to a halt, he was initially motionless in the cockpit. After about ten seconds, from the close-up aerial footage, his head is seen to move about one inch to the left before returning to where it was. Then, he never moved again. What appeared to have happened was that the right front wheel shot up upon impact and entered the cockpit, striking the right frontal area of his helmet. The violence of the wheel's impact pushed his head back against the headrest, causing fatal skull fractures. A piece of suspension attached to the wheel had partially penetrated his Bell M3 helmet and caused trauma to his head. In addition, it appeared that a jagged piece of the upright assembly had penetrated the helmet visor just above his right eye

Candide's Humble Beginnings
So, we have this young lad, "Candy" Candide.
Who's living in the "best of all possible worlds." (A term coined by Pangloss.)
Now, this guy is over here falling in love with the baron's daughter, Cunegonde. She is also falling for him though. So, the two get this sudden urge to do some PG-13 type activities behind a screen door when conclude watching Sir Pangloss teaching "experimental physics" to a young female lad.
(That's Cune and Candy about to do their thing.)
So, as we all know, Cune and Candy get caught doing the PG-13 version of the dirty dirty and this all leads to Candy's departure from the "best world of all possible worlds."
Shiver me Timbers

at Lisbon and to their surprise, it has been destroyed and whipped out by a
massive earthquake under the control of the Inquisition. Pangloss is soon
